A little bit about me
RJ's roots go all the way back to the Deep South, where his grandparents were born in Alabama in the late 1800's. RJ is a product of the "great migration" - he was born on the south side of Chicago and lived there for his first 9 years with his single mother. His mother made the ultimate sacrifice when she sent him to live with his extended family in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, to give him a chance to thrive in a safe environment. He moved to California in the early 1980's.
His corporate experience includes MCA/Universal Studios at Yosemite National Park, Apple, Inc., InFocus and Christie Digital. He held senior positions in HR, Staffing, Sales and Sales Management (yet he was always known as a coach).
He went on to earn his Professional Coaching Certification in 2010, and since has conducted workshops and executive coaching in South Africa, Australia, and across the US.
Clients include Autodesk, Culver Co., Appropriate Response, Genentech, Gensler Architects, Clothing Bank - So. Africa, Strozzi Institute, Eileen Fisher.
